 North Country Rivers offers inflatable kayaking trips on the Kennebec River in Maine. You can reserve half or full day trips. Inflatable Kayaks "also known as Duckies of Fun Yaks" are very stable, fun, and easy to master. No experience is necessary and we supply all equipment, instruction and guides. This is a great way of learning basic kayaking skills while getting in the outdoors. You have a choice of paddling a one or two person kayak. Our Kayak trips are a great idea for either a single day family or youth outing or as a second day to your whitewater rafting trip.
Funyak Level 1 Inflatable Kayak Trips - $39 Per Person
This is a great option for groups with younger children or families looking for their first exposure to boating on moving water. This 5 mile float trip begins at our base camp in Bingham and meanders to the next town of Solon. After basic paddling instruction, you are ready to head out onto the river. This is a very scenic section of the Kennebec and it is not uncommon to see wildlife ranging from eagles and osprey to Moose. Level I Inflatable Kayak trips meet at 2:00 p.m. and last 3-4 hours.
Funyak Level 2 Inflatable Kayak Trips - (Youth Group Price) $69 Per Person; (Adult Price) $89 Per Person
The Level 2 trip teaches paddlers basic whitewater paddling skills and incorporates a guided interpretive hike. This 6 mile trip meets at our base camp in Bingham and puts in at Carry Brook, on the lower half of the Kennebec River Gorge. You than paddle the lower section of the Kennebec River with rapids ranging from Class II - III. An added river lunch and one hour hike makes this a great trip for people looking to see the real Maine. Make sure to bring your waterproof camera to capture shots of Maine's highest waterfall. Level 2 Inflatable Kayak trips meet at 9:00 am and last 3-4 hours. Minimum group size of 12 people required to start your own trip.
