North Country Rivers offers you the best in Maine ATV and Side-by-Side riding tours, rentals and lodging packages from our 60-acre Bingham, Maine Resort Base complex located right “ON" Maine’s ATV trail system in the upper Kennebec Valley Region of Maine. This region has some of the best terrain in North America – with pristine wilderness and riding trails suitable for every level rider!

If you’re new to ATV riding, you can take one of our “guided express" evening tours, take a morning ride, an afternoon ride, or a full-day trip! You can even bring your own ATV (see Maine state info links below for current owner rules and regulations – below).

Additional ATV and Side-by-Side Trip Information

Minimum age to rent an ATV is 21 years. The minimum age to operate an ATV in Maine is 18 years with a driver’s license, and the minimum age to ride with an adult (18 years or older) is 5 years on a Side-by-Side.

NOTE: ATVs are not allowed on the Bingham Resort Base airfield at anytime. Any ATVs found driving on the airfield may be asked to leave by North Country Rivers personnel.

Personal ATV or Side-by-Side Use:

Feel free to bring your own ATV or Side-by-Side. Please note, all ATV’s must be registered in Maine with the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife (Resident Fee – $71; Non- Resident Fee Full Season – $116; Non-Resident 7 Day $101). ATV’s can be registered at the local town office in Bingham, the town office is open Monday – Friday (9:00 AM – 4:00 PM). In addition, the local General Store in Bingham is an authorized registration facility, it is two miles (north) from North Country Rivers base. Their hours of operations are:M-F 5:30am – 9:00pm; Sat 6:00am – 9:00pm; Sun 7:00am – 9:00pm

ALL ATV’s must be operated in accordance with the rules and laws established by the State of Maine and the Maine Dept. of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife. Visit the websites below for a full listing of all Rules and Regulations for ATV’s.
